Liza Sabater is a netactivist, blog publisher and new media consultant.

She is the founder and lead writer of culturekitchen, [ www.culturekitchen.com ], one of the Top 100 progressive blogs [www.ndnpac.org] in the United States; and a Top 500 Feedster blog [www.top500.feedster.com]. Out of culturekitchen’s work come 3 more political blogs : The Daily Gotham [ www.dailygotham.com ], BlogSheroes : The Progressive Women Bloggers Network [ www.blogsheroes.com ] and BrownBloggers [ www.brownbloggers.com ]. In 2006 culturekitchen will diversify by launching five more titles dealing with education, entertainment and technology.

Liza works as a new media advisor and strategist. She consults with artists, creatives, cultural institutions and advocay groups on how to use social networking technologies to develop their communications strategies.

Liza Sabater was born in New York City. She grew up in Puerto Rico; where she lived until the age of 20. She holds a BA in Latin American Studies & International Politics and an ABD in Spanish & Portuguese, both from New York University. For close to 10 years she worked as a Latin American Literature college instructor before joining the corporate world; where she worked as a marketing communications consultant and technical writer. A lifelong wordsmith, her work as a writer, translator, and freelance journalist has appeared in academic journals, art reviews, newspapers and magazines.
